St.Francis Convent Sen. Sec. School, Kotli Surat Malhi is a Christian Minority school belonging to the Diocese of Jalandhar. One of the main objectives of the Diocese of Jalandhar is to reach quality education to every nook and corner of the Diocese. St.Francis Convent Sen. Sec. School is the result of a humble attempt by the Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar in providing with quality education to dispel the darkness of ignorance from the life of the new generation and to prepare them for a better value based glorious future. It is a co-educational day school which was inaugurated in March 2002 by the then Bishop of Jalandhar Rt.Rev.Dr.Symphorian Keeprath. Sr.Emily Thaliyaparambil CHF was the first Principal of the school. She, along with Rev.Fr.Thomas Kolenchery, the first Director of the school worked tirelessly for the growth of this school.
