St.Francis Convent Sen. Sec. School, Kotli Surat Malhi is a Christian Minority school belonging to the Diocese of Jalandhar. One of the main objectives of the Diocese of Jalandhar is to reach quality education to every nook and corner of the Diocese. St.Francis Sen. Sec. Convent school is the result of a humble attempt by the Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar in providing with quality education to dispel the darkness of ignorance from the life of the new generation and to prepare them for a better value based glorious future.
It is a co-educational day school which was inaugurated in March 2002 by the then Bishop of Jalandhar Rt.Rev.Dr.Symphorian Keeprath. Sr.Emily Thaliyaparambil CHF was the first Principal of the school. She, along with Rev.Fr.Thomas Kolenchery, the first Director of the school worked tirelessly for the growth of this school. The hard work of different Directors and Principals added to the development of its students. The future of the students to a great extend depends on the education they receive. The management is well aware of their responsibility and is looking forward to ways & means to achieve this goal.
The school got NOC from the Govt of Punjab on30th June 2010 and provisional affiliation to ICSE on 7th July 2012.
Now the school has almost 1450 students on the roll. There are 55 teaching staff and 20 non-teaching staff. the first batch of 28 students wrote their ICSE Examination in March 2013.
With the able patronage of our beloved Bishop, Bp.Franco Mulakkal, the prayers and blessings of our former Bishops, the valuable and timely intervention of our Directors, above all with the blessings from God Almighty we are marching ahead towards higher goals and to achieve the best.
